When asked why he chose to play a martial arts officer, he said, "I was drawn to the character Lee Jung-do more than the action genre.
The character I played, Lee Jung-do, started working as a martial arts practitioner without much thought, but then developed a sense of mission and experienced a wavering of his values in life.
