President Yoon Seok-yeol visits hospitals, police, fire stations and military units during mid-autumn celebration holidays...thanks and encourages them for their dedication (South Korea)
President Yoon Seok-yeol is planning a mid-autumn celebration holiday with a focus on the people's right to life and health.
Presidential spokesperson Jeong Hye-jeong held a briefing on pending issues at the Presidential Office in Yongsan, Seoul on the 12th.
"President Yoon will be visiting the field starting tomorrow to investigate medical, public safety, disaster and safety issues, and other national concerns. Despite the mid-autumn celebration holiday, he is devoting himself to the Republic of Korea without spending time with his family," the statement said.
"First, we will be visiting two hospitals, including an emergency medical center, and police stations to check the medical system during the mid-autumn celebration holidays," Jung said.
"I will visit police, fire stations and military units to offer encouragement. I will also prepare snacks for the soldiers who are fighting for their country away from their families to celebrate the mid-autumn celebrations."
Regarding the proposal, he criticized, "There was a lot of noise about it being a ghost story about martial law, but as expected, the opposition's intentions to build up impeachment are gradually becoming clear."
"I want to ask the opposition party, as the first trial of the Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung approaches, are you ready to impeach Lee Jae-myung?
Is the build-up of the Lee Jae-myung Anti-Bulletproof Solidarity to protect the leader right? He also asked, "Are you still obsessed with the police order ghost story, and are you going to impeach the president as well, when impeaching the prosecutors and judges is not enough?
"If politics is not enough to reassure the people, but makes them anxious, then the opposition parties, including the Democratic Party, are not even qualified to be political parties," he argued.
Meanwhile, the President's Office has responded to the controversy over immorality that has been raised by some in the doctor and medical student community.
"I cannot believe my ears and am shocked at the indecent and abusive language," he said. A presidential office official said, "Doctors are there to heal the wounds of the people, and should not be there to poke holes in them.
"I think there are only a few doctors like that," he said. "I think most doctors care about the public. I hope that the comments made by a few doctors do not hurt the public's feelings."
