This is a 2.5% increase from last year's number (10,248 cases), but it is 1.5% higher than the average number of daily cases in Seoul this year (10,693 cases).
The average number of traffic accidents per day in Seoul during the mid-autumn celebration holiday period was calculated to be 31.3, down 44.8% from last year.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency implemented special security measures for the mid-autumn celebration from the 9th to the 10th of this month in cooperation with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Commission.
During this period, the police mobilized an average of 3,816 officers per day to step up patrols at public facilities and other locations, and to conduct crime prevention diagnoses and publicize prevention rules.
