Nam Yoon Su, ”Kidney transplant surgery for my father is a given” ”Convenience store restaurant”

He came to get a check-up to check the condition of his kidney after the operation. Nam Yoon-Su carefully examined whether the kidney he had left after transplanting one into his father was functioning properly and whether there were any aftereffects from the operation.
He also gave the lunch he made himself to express his gratitude to the medical staff, including his doctor, nurses, and organ transplant coordinators, who helped him through the difficult surgery process.
Nam YoonSu said, "One day, I found out that my father had stage 5 end-stage renal failure." Stage 5 end-stage renal failure is when the kidneys' function drops to less than 15% of normal.
Nam Yoon Su said, "My father's condition was serious. He was in hypoglycemic shock and lost consciousness. On the day we decided to meet at the hospital to get examined, we suddenly lost contact.
"I also heard that (my father's condition) had a 10-year survival rate of only 25 percent," he recalled. His father's health was in a precarious state.
In response to this, Nam Yoon Su went ahead with the kidney transplant despite her father's warnings.
Nam Yoon Su said, "I don't think I did anything big. I just did what was natural." She continued, "My father told me I couldn't do it because I'm an actor, but I thought it was okay because I was going to do it anyway."
"I contacted all the hospitals that could perform kidney transplants myself and investigated and proceeded with the transplant," he added. The cast members of "Convenience Restaurant" were impressed by Nam Yoon Su's filial piety.
The doctor in charge of Nam Yoon Su's surgery said, "(Nam Yoon Su) lost consciousness during the anesthesia before the surgery.
The last words he said as he was losing his father were, "Please take good care of my father." He shed a tear as he said those words and the anesthesia took effect. He was truly a devoted son. I was so grateful for all the support he received at the hospital.
