Daejeon's famous 'Seongshimdo' to continue operations...rent adjusted to 130 million won

Sungsimdang, a bakery representing the Daejeon area, was forced to withdraw from its store at Daejeon Station due to rent issues with KORAIL Distribution, but is expected to continue operating.
According to KORAIL and other sources, on the 21st, KORAIL Distribution recently posted the sixth announcement on its website for the "recruitment of permanent operating partners" for Sungshindo,
The monthly fee (rent) for the waiting room (300 square meters) on the second floor of Daejeon Station, where the Daejeon Station store is located, was proposed to be 133 million won (approximately 14.35 million yen). The contract period will be for five years starting in November.
The monthly rent offered by Korail Distribution was 69.8% lower than the 441 million won (US$476,000) initially proposed.
The Daejeon Station branch of Sungshindo was initially paying a monthly rent of about 100 million won (about 10.79 million yen), but the rent was suddenly increased.
The company was forced to withdraw from the Daejeon Station store. KORAIL Distribution released the first notice for the store in February, stating that Sungshim, whose store contract expires in the second half of this year,
The problem had arisen when they proposed rent of 441 million won (US$476,000) per month for the Daejeon Station store, about four times the current amount.

As the issue remained unresolved, Korail Distribution requested the Board of Audit and Inspection to resolve the management issues at the Sungshindang Daejeon Station store.

It has been learned that Sacred Heart Temple has indicated that it will continue operating out of the Daejeon Station waiting room if the rent remains the same as it is now.
