Park Moon-sung, a well-known Korean soccer commentator, made strong criticisms of Korea Football Association Chairman Chung Mong-kyu during a question-and-answer session at the National Assembly.

Park, who was invited to the Q&A session as a witness, said of Chairman Chung, "What I felt again today is that the time has come for Chairman Chung Mong-kyu's regime to come to an end."
"They lack the ability to empathize and the ability to solve problems," he said.
The meeting included head coach Bo Myung-bo, KFA technical director Lee Im-saeng, former head of the training committee Jung Hye-seong, former training committee member Park Ju-ho, Minister of Culture, Sports and Sports Yoo In-chon, and
Vice Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Jang Mi-ran and Korea Sports Association Chairman Lee Ki-heung were among the witnesses. Park said the FA had not disclosed any details of the 100 people involved in the match-fixing scandal.
He also criticized the sudden pardoning of 100 players and the appointment of head coach Klinsmann. He said, "It's not just this incident. We shouldn't have pardoned the perpetrators of match fixing.
They deliberately tried to pardon the player on the day of the match. It is a very unsporting act. If they had deliberately pardoned someone who committed such an anti-social crime, there would probably have been a big uproar.
"The same thing happened when Klinsmann was appointed as coach. The training committee was convened on the same day, the notice was given on the same day, and the announcement was made 30 minutes later. It's ridiculous," he continued.
"Not participating in the 2024 Paris Olympics is not just a failure," Park said. "When you're playing soccer, you can lose. But with the important Olympic qualifiers coming up, we all have to work hard."
Despite the warnings from the media that the team was in danger, the team appointed Hwang Sun-Hong as interim manager for the A-match period in March.
