The company was revealed to have signed a voluntary contract worth 1 million won just one month after it was established.
According to Bae's office, the Korea Tourism Organization signs about 1,500 discretionary contracts each year.
However, Next Step signed 18 unilateral contracts from January to September this year and 22 unilateral contracts last year, making it the company with the most unilateral contracts.
Bae said that the company's president's husband had worked in the Korea Tourism Organization's incentive exhibition team for about four months from 2015, and that the person with whom her husband first signed a discretionary contract
In addition, the person in question signed five contracts with the company and was subsequently involved in 27 contracts, including handing over estimates to the person in question.
During the parliamentary audit that day, Bae said, "It is very sad for small businesses that are working honestly that they can win discretionary contracts worth billions of won through short-term connections.
"We need a full investigation into whether they are receiving any money or if there are any illegal connections," he said.
