‘Who Lives in Kuroi Residence’ depicts an episode that takes place during the Japanese colonial period when there was the least hope in history, when Hae Eun, who lost her brother in the independence movement and all hope, is led by an unknown force to visit the abandoned Kuroi Residence and meets Okki, a spirit bound to the earth, and false ghosts (ghosts filled with bitterness) who have their own wishes. The film depicts episodes.
Sandeul plays the role of Hae Eun, a difficult and sceptical watch repairman, who not only interacts with the false ghosts at the Kuroi mansion, but also leads the play and draws the audience in.
In particular, Sandeul's performance of the musical number ‘Riding on a Boat’, in which he sings while searching for his brother's epitaph, drew the audience in with his performance of Hae Eun's sad emotions and excellent singing skills, and his subtle expressions such as the way he never lost his sense of fun as he assimilated the voice of a crow that suddenly appeared in the scene. He also made the audience laugh with his witty dance moves and dialogue with Okki and the other false demons.

He received enthusiastic applause from the audience and was praised for bringing out the audience's interest in seeing the show again.
After the first performance, Sandul said, ‘Thanks to the actors and staff with me and the audience, I was able to finish the first performance in a really enjoyable way. We have already taken the first step and we want to invite more people to Kuroi Residence, which will be even more enjoyable in the future, so please enjoy it with us’.
The musical ‘Who Lives in Kuroi Residence’, in which Sandul will appear, is scheduled to run until the 19th January next year at the Plus Theatre in Daehangno (University Road), Seoul.
