South Korea's ruling party pushes ahead with ”special inspector recommendation” as party resolution... ”Leave it to the floor leader”

South Korea's ruling party, the People Power Party, has decided to push ahead with a National Assembly recommendation procedure for the appointment of a "special inspector" to monitor the president and his relatives.
The party's floor leader, Choo Kyung-ho, spoke to reporters immediately after finishing a closed-door general meeting of lawmakers at the National Assembly on the afternoon of the 14th.
In response, he said, "We will proceed with the National Assembly's recommendation procedure for the appointment of a special inspector," and revealed that "we have decided to leave the specific progress to the discretion of the House leader."
Aki said, "The party leader made the statement without holding a vote. I explained the history and proposed (the party's move to promote the idea), and the lawmakers
"Everyone agreed with the proposal by applause," he said, explaining that no one opposed the proposal. Meanwhile, the party has previously negotiated with the opposition party to appoint a director for the North Korean Human Rights Foundation, who was involved in the process of recommending candidates for special inspector.
The party will also push ahead with a bill to amend the current law regarding the recommendation issue of directors recommended by the People's Power. Aki said, "I want the National Assembly Speaker to complete the National Assembly's recommendation procedures as soon as possible, including the directors recommended by the People's Power."
"We will propose a bill to amend the law relating to foundations as a party resolution, and we plan to propose a bill that would allow recommendations for directors to be received within a certain period of time," he said.
Aki emphasized, "(The issues of recommending the director of the North Korean Human Rights Foundation and recommending the special inspector) will be carried out simultaneously, but they are not linked issues."
On the same day, Cho also said that the third amendment to the Kim Gun-Hee Special Prosecutor Act, which was passed by the plenary session under the leadership of the opposition party, "has the right to request a second vote from the president as a party resolution (rejection)."
"I strongly urge everyone to exercise their right to vote and to block this law in the future."
