132 hamsters disappear on plane, stranding plane for five days in Portugal

An incident occurred in Portugal when 132 hamsters escaped from their cages in the cargo compartment of an airplane, causing the plane to be stranded for five days.
British media "Telegraph" reported on the 18th (local time) that "Portugal's TAP Airlines has suspended operations for five days for the plane where the 'Hamster Escape Incident' occurred."
On the 13th, the TAP Airbus A321 Neo plane departed Lisbon and landed at its destination of Ponta Delgada. While baggage was being sorted, the cage containing the hamster was found to be empty.
As a result, the airline immediately suspended operations, fearing that the hamsters may have chewed and damaged various electrical wires inside the plane.
After a five-day search, the hamster was finally recovered and the plane headed to Lisbon, where a maintenance centre is located.
