South Korea's ruling party leader reacts to opposition pressure for impeachment: ”The Democratic Party is threatening the people with budget cuts”

Han Dong-hoon, leader of South Korea's ruling People Power Party, declared on the 8th that if the Democratic Party of Korea does not support the impeachment of President Yoon Seok-yeol, the party will pass a budget cut bill.
Regarding this, he criticized, "Using the threat of finalizing the budget cuts as is as a means of intimidation is tantamount to admitting that the Democratic Party's budget cuts were wrong."
Han expressed his strong dissatisfaction on Facebook that day, saying, "The Democratic Party is threatening the people with budget cuts."
Meanwhile, Park Jeong, chairman of the National Assembly's Special Budget and Accounts Committee, and Lee Jong Un, both of the Democratic Party,
On the same day, they held a press conference at the National Assembly and stated, "We will not hold budget discussions unless President Yoon Seok-yeol is impeached," and "If the government and the people do not agree to this, we will definitely hold a budget reduction meeting on the 10th."
On the 29th of last month, the Democratic Party of Korea forced through next year's budget bill, which only reflected the cuts made by the National Assembly, at the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts.
The Speaker of the National Assembly called for the ruling and opposition parties to reach an agreement by the 10th of this month, and postponed bringing the budget cut bill to the plenary session.
