”NewJeans” ends contract for financial advertising without renewal due to exclusive contract dispute

Attention is focused on whether the aftermath of the exclusive contract dispute between Korean girl group NewJeans and HYBE's label ADOR will have an impact on the advertising industry.
On the 13th (today), a Korean media outlet reported that Shinhan Financial Group has terminated its modeling contract with "NewJeans" and will not be renewing it.
According to the report, the advertising contract between "NewJeans" and the SUPER SOL brand will end in December. In the exclusive contract dispute, the advertiser is not sure where to pay the contract fee.
However, it was revealed that modeling contracts are divided by product and affiliated company, and existing advertisements will run until March.
"NewJeans" is currently in an exclusive contract dispute with management office ADOR. The women claim that ADOR has not fulfilled its obligations under the exclusive contract and terminated the exclusive contract on the 29th of last month.
However, ADOR has filed a lawsuit in the Seoul District Court to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract.
