At that location, the National Movement for Reform of the Republic of Korea (Daegukhon), the Liberal Unification Party, and others began a rally around 1 p.m. on the same day.
The organizers estimated the number of participants at 1 million, while the police unofficially estimated it at 31,000. The route stretches from the East Crossroads, about 1km from Sejong-daero, to Gyeongbokgung Station.
The roads along Sajik-ro will be under control until 7 p.m. The Yoon Seok-youl Immediate Resignation and Social Reform Emergency Action (Resignation Action) rally began in this section at around 3 p.m. The number of participants is estimated by the organizers.
The number of people is about 500,000. Yulgok-ro, which stretches from Changdeokgung Palace Intersection to Anguk History Street, will be fully controlled until 8 p.m., and the road leading from Seoul Station Square to the north gate of the War Memorial of Korea will be closed to the public until 8 p.m.
Part of the Hangang River road, where the protests are taking place, will be under control until 8 p.m. Police are working to maintain order by setting up iron fences in various places in preparation for possible clashes between pro- and anti-protest groups.
