At around 9:07 a.m. on the 29th of this month, Jeju Air Flight 7C2216 from Bangkok, Thailand, crashed while attempting to land on the runway at Muang International Airport.
The aircraft collided with the outer wall of the runway, partially destroying it and causing a fire. There were 175 passengers and 6 crew members on board, totaling 181 people, and all aboard died except for two rescuers.
