[Exclusive] Andong city plans to sue KBS for driving nails into Byeongsan Seowon Confucian Academy... ”Legal advice to be sought after additional on-site confirmation”
While the KBS drama team apologized for damaging cultural properties, Andong City will take prosecution measures after confirming the site.

As a result of an interview with Herald POP on the 3rd, Andong City, together with the National Heritage Agency, plans to take administrative measures after reconfirming the site of the damage to the Pyungsan Seowon (Pyeongsan Book House). After confirming the extent of restoration of the cultural property after consulting with experts, Andong City plans to file charges against the KBS drama team after receiving legal advice.

Recently, the new KBS drama "The Leader's First Time, I Stole It" was surrounded by controversy due to the damage to the Pyeongsan Seowon. The reason for the damage was that the staff drove nails into the tops of the pillars of the Pyeongsan Seowon and set up props for the filming of the drama.

In response, Andong City took action against the KBS drama team to halt filming. KBS immediately apologized and said, "The production team received prior permission for filming at Andong Pyeongsan Seowon at the end of last year, and in the process of installing props, we received protests from visitors to the site asking how we could nail and install props on a cultural asset.”

He added, "KBS realizes the seriousness of the situation and apologizes for the situation that occurred at the site, regardless of the reason. We are currently discussing the best way to accurately assess and restore the situation.”

KBS added, "In relation to the situation at the time, the drama's staff members are checking the site with Pyeongsan Seowon's staff members and discussing the procedures for restoration. In addition, we will actively discuss measures to prevent recurrence and any additional damage that may occur in the future.”

However, on the 3rd, a complaint titled "Damage to Cultural Property by KBS Drama Filming Team" was filed through the National News Service. The accuser demanded a thorough investigation, claiming that "even if restoration procedures were discussed, the damage to cultural properties itself is a violation of the law.

In response, the Gyeongbuk National Police Agency plans to assign the complaint to the Andong Police Station after confirming the contents of the complaint.

Meanwhile, "The Leader's First Time, I Stole It" starring Seohyun of "Girls' Generation" and Taekyung of "2PM" is a no-brake, route-deviating romance fantasy that unfolds when a minor character in an ordinary college girl's soulful love story spends a night with the obsessive male lead in the novel....
