Italy's largest bank enters Bitcoin market with $1 million investment

Intesa Sanpaolo, Italy's largest bank, has invested over $1 million in Bitcoin, becoming the first Italian bank to enter the Bitcoin market.
Intesa Sanpaolo announced on the 13th that it had purchased 11 BTC for approximately 1 million euros (approximately 162 million yen). This investment comes after the price of Bitcoin rose to 10 in December last year.
The news comes just over a month after the cryptocurrency surpassed the $1.2 million milestone. Niccolò, head of digital asset trading at Inter Milan, said:

Intersa San Faoro confirmed the Bitcoin purchase through media outlet Wired.
