President Yoon investigation to resume at 7pm: ”Late-night investigations are difficult” - South Korea

The Agency for Investigation into Crimes against High-Ranking Public Officials announced that it will resume its investigation into South Korean President Yoon Seok-youl from 7 p.m. on the 15th.

Regarding the possibility of a late-night investigation, the High-Ranking Public Officials Crime Investigation Agency clearly stated that it would not be able to conduct an all-night investigation.
Plans are expected to be made to transfer him to the Seoul Detention Center. Generally, afternoon investigations are carried out until the evening, and investigations after 9 p.m. are classified as late-night investigations.
"The police decide whether to conduct a late-night investigation, usually between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m., taking into consideration the time required for investigation. In cases where there is an urgent reason, such as an arrest warrant being requested, a late-night investigation is permitted even without the suspect's consent."
President Yoon is said to have exercised his right to remain silent during the afternoon investigation, just as he had done during the morning investigation. The investigation was conducted with one of his lawyers present at all times.
The High-Ranking Public Officials Crime Investigation Agency refers to President Yoon as "President," but the report states he is the "suspect."
