President Yoon Seok-yeol speaks directly for 40 minutes... Detention review continues for over four hours

The pre-arrest interrogation (warrant review) of President Yoon Seok-yeol, who is accused of leading a civil unrest during the December 3 emergency martial law, has been ongoing for nearly four hours.
The Seoul Western District Court conducted a warrant review from around 2:00 pm to around 5:20 pm on the 18th, then recessed for 20 minutes. The review resumed at around 5:40 pm.
According to President Yoon Seok-yeo's lawyer, Seok Dong-hyun, prosecutors from the Office of Investigation into Crimes by High-Ranking Public Officials first emphasized the need for a detention investigation for 70 minutes starting at 2:15 pm.
The president's lawyers, Kim Hong-il and Song Hye-eun, spoke for about 70 minutes from around 3:25 pm, and the two men were heard to discuss the matter.
They refuted the allegations using PowerPoint presentations that they had prepared. President Yoon Seok-yeol, who appeared in court in person dressed in a suit, also had the opportunity to speak, and spoke for about 40 minutes from around 4:35 p.m.
President Yoon Seok-yeol boarded a police van from Seoul Detention Center in Uiwang, Gyeonggi Province, where he was being held, to personally explain the legitimacy of the declaration of emergency law.
The decision on whether to issue an arrest warrant is expected to be made late that night or early on the 19th at the earliest.
