NTT Docomo Inc.'s video stream service "Lemino" will begin streaming the Korean TV series "Check-In Hanyang," which is streamed exclusively in Japan from Saturday, December 21, 2024.
)" An interview with actor Jung Gun Joo, who plays Jeong Jun-ah, who came in as an apprentice while hiding the fact that he is the successor to "Yongcheonlo", has arrived.
Q. What kind of TV series is "Check-in Hanyang"? Can you briefly introduce your character, Jung Jun-ah?
"Check-in Hanyang" is a TV series filled with the growth and romance of young people. The character I played, Jung Jun-ah, has no bad side and is a very bright and friendly character.
While studying abroad in Qing, he is forced by his father to start living at Ryutenrou as a student. Q. Why did you decide to appear in this film? The script was interesting, but the character Juna was fascinating to me.
I was drawn to the powerful performance. I think I will be able to show various sides of myself through the role of Juna, and I am looking forward to it. Q. What are the highlights of "Check-in Hanyang"?
I hope you will pay attention to the chemistry between the "Haona (but) foursome," the love triangle between Lee Eun, Deok-soo, and Jun-ha, and the incidents that unfold at Ryutenrou.
Q. What is Jung Jun-ah's charm? On the surface, he is a friendly, playful and fun character, but on the inside he is serious and pure, with eyes for only one woman.
Q. Jeong Jun-ah is the son of the owner of the largest inn in Joseon, Yongcheon-ro, but he starts working as an intern at Yongcheon-ro. If you were Jeong Jun-ah,
How do you think you would have acted in the same situation? It sounds very interesting. I also like to experience things, so I think I would have enjoyed the process of overcoming obstacles with my friends.
Q.What are the similarities and differences between Jung Gun Joo and Jung Junha? I think he is similar to me in that he is friendly. The difference is that Jung Junha changes in the second half of the film.
I think Na's appearance is different from me. Q. What did you pay particular attention to or put effort into while playing the role of Jung Jun-ah?
I tried to preserve the pure emotion as much as possible.
Q. Was the character of Jung Jun Ha a new challenge for you, Jung Gun Joo?
I had to take on a lot of new challenges to portray Juna, who changes in the second half of the story. Because it was something new, I did a lot of research into the character.
Q. Jung Gun Joo, what do you think are the charms of Lee Eun and Hong Deok Soo? I think Lee Eun's charm is her steadfastness. She acts with conviction and remains unwavering in any situation.
Bae In Hyuk played Lee Eun very well. Hong Deok Soo is a character who overcomes his inner sadness and moves forward. Watching Deok Soo, I felt a sense of confidence and reassurance.
On the other hand, I feel like I want to embrace her. Q. What was your impression of acting with Kim Jieun? Please tell us any memorable episodes.
Kim Jieun is a professional and I was impressed by how seriously she took her acting.
Q.What was your impression of acting with Bae In Hyuk? Do you have any memorable episodes?
Bae In Hyuk is like an older brother to me sometimes. When I'm nervous, he's always there to give me advice.
We created the scene by exchanging opinions with each other. In particular, we created the character of Juna, who changes in the second half of the film, by giving each other feedback.
Q. What was your impression of acting with JAECHAN? Please tell us if you have any memorable episodes. I think JAECHAN is a bundle of energy. As the day of filming together approaches,
When I come here, I get excited thinking that I'll be able to meet JAECHAN. He's a really cute and cheerful guy, and he's also very serious about his acting, so we can communicate very well.
Q. Jung Jun-ah is a caring and observant person who realizes Deok-soo is a woman before anyone else. He also learns about his father's past and is torn between his father and Deok-soo.
If you were in the same situation, what would you choose? It's a difficult decision. But if I were in the same situation as Juna, I think I would choose Deok-soo. I chose the person I love without regrets.
Q. Who was the mood maker on set? Everyone got along well, so we were able to shoot in a relaxed atmosphere.
Q. What did you do while waiting for filming?
Just like on other film sets, we spent our breaks going over our lines, eating meals together, and chatting in the dressing room.
Q. The filming is almost over, but if you were to rate your satisfaction (out of 100)? 200 points. Everyone worked really hard and did their best to make sure they had no regrets.
Q. Is there any character other than your own role in "Check-in Hanyang" that you would like to play? Deoksoo, I can't become a woman, but on the contrary, I would like to play a character who cross-dresses.
I would like to try it. Q. Is there an experience or work that changed your life or was a turning point? We were shooting "Check-in Hanyang" in the summer, and in the scorching heat,
It was really hard to shoot in that heat. However, seeing the staff working hard together in the heat made me realize and reflect on a lot of things. It motivated me to work harder.
Q. What are you into these days (food, music, movies... anything) or what are your hobbies? Lately I've been into home decor.
Q. Is there anything you would like to do or anywhere you would like to go to when you come to Japan?
I like the warm and quiet atmosphere that is unique to Japan. I especially like ryokans.
After I finish this project, I want to go to Fukuoka's ryokan district and relax for a few days. Q. What is your favorite Japanese word, or a Japanese word you recently learned?
I like the phrase, "I will protect you." Q. What is your favorite Japanese food?
What would you like to eat when you come to Japan? I like yakiniku, especially beef tongue and shimacho (beef intestine). Q. Finally, please say a few words to our Japanese viewers.
Please show lots of interest and love to the TV series "Check-In Hanyang"! If I have the chance, I'd like to go to Japan and meet all my fans!
