Daegu Mayor: ”President Yoon's emergency law is not a crime of treason” = South Korea

When asked about the concerns, Mayor Hong said, "The October Restoration was a civil war that changed the country's system through dictatorship. I'm not saying anything wrong, so there's no need to worry."
He continued, "It would be foolish to not even realize that," and reiterated that the October Restoration was a typical example of civil war.
Mayor Hong said, "President Park suspended the constitution, declared a national emergency, and dissolved the National Assembly.
"Tanks were also seen in front of the National Assembly," he said, explaining, "This is a typical example of civil war, and President Park has started it."
He continued, "This case is not a civil war. Was it appropriate or not? Was it illegal?
"I don't think so," he said, "President Yoon's December 3 emergency martial law was merely an exercise of the president's right to declare martial law, which is recognized by the Constitution, so it cannot be considered a crime of treason."
"It's not possible," he insisted.
