A man shouted ”I'm the son of the city council president” at a restaurant and indiscriminately assaulted the restaurant owner and customers... Sent to prosecutors in South Korea

A man in his 40s who assaulted a customer and the owner of a restaurant while claiming that his father was the chairman of the local assembly has been referred to the prosecution.
The police sent Kim (42) to the prosecution last month on suspicion of assault. Kim allegedly assaulted the owner and three customers at a restaurant in Hyoja-dong, Chuncheon, at around 6 a.m. on December 16 last year without justification.
Kim is suspected of having committed the crime while drunk.
On the 5th, the victim, A, said in an interview with JTBC's "Case Leader"
"Kim suddenly jumped on me, straddled me and started hitting me indiscriminately. He hit me so hard that I lost consciousness," he said, explaining the situation at the time.
Mr. A said, "When I got up and tried to leave, he bit my leg," and "It looked like an animal."
The store owner, Mr. B, in his 60s, and a customer who was with Kim were also assaulted in the process of stopping Kim. Mr. B said, "(Kim) said, 'Do you know who I am? I'm the son of the city council president.
"At first I didn't understand what he was saying, but when I thought about it later, I think he meant, 'This is the kind of person I am, so don't treat me carelessly.'"
Ms. B, who lost consciousness after the assault and was diagnosed with a concussion, said, "I was assaulted one-sidedly and was diagnosed with a four-week recovery period, but he never said a word of apology," and "(Kim)
"I was shocked that he claimed to be the victim of a group assault," he said. Kim's father is understood to be the chairman of a local assembly. The chairman said, "I think it is morally wrong for my father to be involved in the assault incident.
"I'm sorry for that," he said, "but my son was also a victim. If you do something wrong, you will be punished." A customer who used force against Kim while resisting his assault was also charged with assault.
He has been sent to the detention center.
