682 people arrested for Deep Feik sex crimes last year... 80% were teenagers = Korea

The Korean National Police Agency announced on the 13th that 1,202 cases of sexual crimes involving DeepFei using false videos were reported between January 1 and December 13 of last year.
Last year, the number of DeepFei sex crimes using Telegram increased, mainly in schools. In response to this, the police conducted a survey from August 28 last year to March this year.
The period up to the 31st has been designated as the "period of intensive crackdown on false video crimes," and crackdowns are underway. The number of DeepFei sex crimes reported from January 1st of last year until the intensive crackdown
The number of reported cases was 445, a daily average of 1.85. However, after the intensive crackdown began, 757 cases were reported by the end of the year, a daily average of 6.01.
Of the 682 suspects arrested for DeepFei sex crimes last year, 548 were teenagers, accounting for 80.4% of the total.
The number of juvenile delinquents who were not held responsible also rose to 104. By age, 107 were in their 20s, 20 in their 30s, four in their 40s, and three over 50.
Meanwhile, police are working on developing a system to identify false and fabricated content using DeepFei.
Currently, investigators are reviewing DeepFeiQ content one by one, but in the future, they plan to develop a multi-modal detection algorithm to identify the contents of DeepFeiQ videos.
The plan is to aim for automatic detection.
