North Korea criticizes US-South Korea alliance: ”It should be crushed by military force”

North Korea criticized the joint U.S.-South Korea military exercises and the strengthening of the U.S.-South Korea alliance, saying it must be "thoroughly suppressed and crushed with military force."
On the 14th, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) published a commentary calling the US-South Korea relationship "the work of foolish old people."
The agency said, "As political turmoil deepens in South Korea, the madness against the Republic of Korea is becoming more vicious," and added, "South Korea's Ministry of National Defense has announced that it will hold talks with the United States on the joint military exercise with the Republic of Korea this year."
The 2025 Work Plan, which has a pronounced anti-Republican character, includes further increasing the number of brigade-level and above outdoor maneuver training exercises in the Freedom Shield military exercise from last year, which recorded a record high.
"What is even more serious is the military buildup measures that are being implemented in tandem with the confrontational rhetoric, and the fact that the US has been sending naval aircraft carriers to South Korea with the aim of strengthening its attack capabilities against our submarines and other vessels," he said.
The agency also called the US-South Korea alliance a "vicious confrontational maneuver by the unchanging main enemy."
He added, "This demonstrates the legitimacy of our firm position that we must thoroughly suppress and crush them with powerful military force through strengthened national defense."
