Korean actress Kim Sae-ron has passed away. She was 24 years old.

According to the South Korean police on the 16th, the late Kim Sae-ron was found dead at her home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, this afternoon. The exact circumstances of his death are under investigation.

A friend who was due to meet her that day found her when she visited her home and reported the incident to the police. A police official said, "At the moment we have not confirmed any traces of intrusion from the outside or any other possible criminal activity, but we will start a detailed investigation."

The late Kim Sae-ron was charged by the police after he caused an accident at around 8am on the 18th May 2022 in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, in which he repeatedly collided with a transformer board and a roadside tree due to drunken driving.

On the 28th June of that year, the police referred the late Kim Sae-ron to prosecutors on suspicion of drunken driving and failure to take action after the accident, and prosecutors decided to prosecute her at home about six months later. At the trial, she was sentenced to a fine of 20 million won.

The late Kim Sae-ron made her debut in 2009 as a child actor in the film Traveller, and became a major star in 2010 in the film Ajosi with actor Won Bin.

In 2013, she appeared in the Korean remake of the Japanese drama Queen's Classroom, which attracted attention for her excellent performance.

In music, he appeared in various music videos (music videos), including ‘Green Rain’ by SHINee, ‘Jackpot’ by Block B and ‘Cat's Eye’ by ASTRO.

His last film was Bloodhounds, produced by Netflix and released in 2023. She was due to make a comeback in the play Tongchimi in May 2024 after a drunk driving accident, but had to drop out due to deteriorating health.

She holds the record for being the youngest Korean actor/actress to be invited by the Cannes Film Festival. In her short life, she was an acting actress who had been invited to the Cannes Film Festival twice.
