According to an announcement made by IFPI via its official website and SNS channels on the 18th (local time), "Stray Kids" made the top 10 in three categories of the Global Artist Chart, Global Album Chart, and Global Album Sales Chart for 2024. The IFPI's Global Charts are based on worldwide package sales, digital downloads and streaming figures.
Stray Kids ranked 5th on the Global Artist Chart, marking its third consecutive year on the chart since its first appearance in 2022. On the "Global Albums Chart," Stray Kids reached No.10 with their mini-album "ATE," proving their popularity by reaching the top 10 on the chart again this year, following "MAXIDENT" in 2022 and "★★★★★ (5-STAR)" and "Raku-STAR" in 2023.
In the "Global Album Sales Chart," both of the two albums released last year ranked in the top 10. ATE ranked 5th, and SKZHOP HIPTAPE's "Gai (HOP)," which achieved its sixth consecutive No. 1 ranking on the U.S. Billboard 200, ranked 6th, also for the third year in a row.
Prior to this, in 2022, "MAXIDENT" and "ODDINARY" reached No.4 and No.8, respectively, on the same chart, becoming the highest-ranking fourth-generation K-pop group.In 2023, "★★★★★ (5-STAR)" and "Raku-STAR"、"Raku-STAR" also achieved the best performance by a fourth-generation K-pop group, reaching No.2 and No.5, respectively.
Recently, "Stray Kids" has been ringing in the New Year with bright news, including shipping more than 30 million albums in Japan and Korea, being nominated for the U.S. iHeartRadio Music Awards for the second consecutive year, and earning their eighth gold certification in total from the U.S. Recording Industry Association. The group successfully held its fifth official fan meeting "SKZ 5'CLOCK" at the Inspire Arena in Incheon from February 14th to 16th, and will embark on a large-scale stadium tour as part of its world tour "dominATE" starting in March.
Starting with the Estadio Vicentenario La Florida in Santiago on March 27th-28th and ending at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on July 30th, SKZ will perform a total of 34 concerts in 22 regions in Latin America, Japan, North America, and Europe. The tour, the largest in its history, is expected to draw 2.2 million people worldwide, making it the largest single tour in the history of K-pop.
