Character stills of YURI (Kwon YURI), a member of the girl group Girls' Generation and an actress, from the movie "Invasion" have been released.
In the movie "Invasion," a man's everyday life is disrupted by his daughter Seohyun's strange behavior.
A psychological thriller that depicts the rift that unfolds when Yeong-woong (Kwak Sun Young) and Min (Yuri), who has lost his memory 20 years later, confront Hye-young (Lee Sul).
In the drama, YURI plays Min, a man who has lost his memory and lives with his own secrets. Since a traumatic incident at a young age, Min has grown up alone without a family and sees himself as a child.
She lives with her caregiver Hyeon-kyung (Shin Dong-mi) for several years and works for a company that cleans up the scene of lonely deaths. Perhaps because of her past, she is wary of people and does not trust them, and does not let down the walls in her heart.
Min tries to fight back against Hyeyoung, who suddenly appears and interferes not only in his workplace but also in his relationship with Hyeyoung. The released stills show Min cleaning up the scene of the lonely death and wearing a hat pulled down low.
Her cold and gloomy face as she stands on the side of the road making a deal with someone on the phone is eye-catching. Her conflict with Hye-young and her terrified expression when she sees something show that she is trying to save her life.
The audience is curious to see what kind of events will unfold as she clashes with Hye-young, who enters her life. YURI said, "I created the character by looking for commonalities between the character and my personality.
"I wanted to maximize my cold and rational side and at the same time, I wanted to express myself in a way that was different from the existing image that the public sees," she said.
Director Lee Jung Chang said, "Min was able to understand and empathize with the deep darkness inside the character.
"I wanted an actor who could play the role, and YURI was exactly that kind of actor," he said. "She had a strong passion to express herself and take on new challenges as an actor, so we worked together to create the character.
"'Invasion' contains many of Kwon Yuri's worries and challenges." Meanwhile, "Invasion" is scheduled to be released in theaters in Korea in March.
