The party's real news excavation team issued a statement on the same day, making the following remarks regarding the ``warrant shopping allegations'' at the Public Prosecutor's Office raised by President Yoon Seok-yeol's camp.
The day before, President Yoon's side said that the Public Prosecutor's Office had requested search and communication warrants for President Yoon from the Seoul Central District Court, but the request was rejected. After that, the Public Prosecutor's Office allegedly requested an arrest warrant from the Seoul Western District Court.
In response, the Public Prosecutors' Office explained, "It is true that we requested a communication warrant for President Yoon, but President Yoon was not the target of the search warrant."
The People's Power said, "Normally, a warrant is requested and re-requested while supplementing documents in one court, so why was the warrant suddenly transferred from the Central District Court to the Western District Court?
"The explanation from the Public Prosecutor's Office is that even if the warrant is not aimed at the president himself, the Central District Court dismissed the search warrant for the president, so the Western District Court dismissed the warrant," he said.
Na Kyung-won, a lawmaker from the People's Power Party, also said in a Fei Subook article, "The Public Prosecutors' Office requested a communication warrant from the Central District Court, and an arrest warrant from the Western District Court.
It was obvious that the Central District Court would reject the case. In short, it is judicial monopoly."
