Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung: ”The People's Power Party will betray and cut ties with President Yoon Seok-yeol” (South Korea)
On the 3rd, Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, said, "The People's Power Party (ruling party) is about to betray President Yoon Seok-yeol, like a hotteok restaurant that has caught fire."
On the same day, Lee posted a post on Feibook titled "President Yoon Seok-yeol's betrayal D-85" in which he said, "On February 16th, I wrote on social media that I would like to express my gratitude to the people.
"I said that I would 'declare severing ties with President Yoon Seok-yeol' within 100 days, but there are only 85 days left," he said. "Within 85 days, the betrayal will become widespread, and I will sever ties with Yoon Seok-yeol and declare severance from his leadership."
Lee wrote that the People's Power Party would "change the words, the face (leadership), and the name of the party as easily as turning one's hand over."
"I would also like to change the name and the platform and policies, but I don't think there is enough time," he said. "The power of the people is not worth pursuing. It is necessary to call ourselves conservatives, but there is no real benefit to it.
It is a far-right fascist party that welcomes its enemies and even expels its parents for the sake of its own interests and desires. It is in sympathy with and in sympathy with the destruction of the Constitution and the rule of law, which are the most important values that conservatives must protect.
Lee wrote, "Although they are nominally the ruling party, they have no intention of doing anything but deceive the people with all sorts of lies and abusive language, and are busy slandering and hindering the opposition party.
"It's sad to think that things have turned out like that," he said. "If I thought that the violent far-right who defended the mastermind of the rebellion, Yoon Seok-yeol, and destroyed the court had the power, I would have immediately joined them, but the country
"The moment they are subdued by the people's collective intelligence and their power is at an end, the people's power will betray Yoon Seok-yeol, the mastermind of the civil war, and the far-right violence-inciting group, as if it had never done before," he repeatedly emphasized.
Lee also asked, "Is this really acceptable for the ruling party of the Republic of Korea, a model democratic nation that is recognized by the world as one of the top five military powers, one of the top 10 economic powers, and a cultural powerhouse?"
On the same day, Lee also posted on Feibook the results of a Realmeter opinion poll showing that the number of responses in favor of a change of government had increased.
