HYBE、「BTS」の航空券流出の経路を探し当てた…2年間追跡の末
HYBE has discovered the source of BTS's flight ticket leak... After 2 years of tracking
A foreign airline employee, A, who made money by obtaining flight information for famous celebrities such as "BTS," has been charged by the police, and this is the first time that the route of the information leak has been revealed.
Last month, an airline employee named Mr. A was charged by the police with violating the Information and Communications Network Act after he researched and sold the flight information of famous celebrities.
While operators of social media accounts have been referred to prosecutors in the past, this is the first time that the route through which such information was leaked has been uncovered.
On the 4th, according to Yonhap News, BTS' management company HYBE responded to the issue of personal information leaks on flights.
In order to investigate the leaks, the 2023 Task Force (TF) was formed and has been working with the police to continue to track down the leaks of aviation information.
However, flight information was traded secretly through open chat rooms and direct mail, and the location of the information leaking source was unclear, making it difficult to arrest the suspects.
The routes through which the information on the tickets was leaked were also numerous and difficult to track. In response, HYBE has been constantly monitoring SNS sellers for two years and has collected evidence to identify the operators (sales agents).
The documents were secured, opening the door to a police investigation. In June of last year, HYBE said, "We have inquired about the seating information of our artists several times and boarded the same planes."
Using this information, people have been caught stalking artists, continuously approaching them and even trying to contact them.
"We are seeing frequent instances of excessive behavior, such as passengers arbitrarily changing in-flight meals or canceling flight reservations, disrupting their schedules," he said.
HYBE formed a separate task force to deal with the situation and successfully arrested the suspect.
"We will take a zero-tolerance approach to the criminal act of commercializing and trading these drugs, and we will hold those responsible to account and take strict action without any compromise or leniency," he said.
On the other hand, Mr. A has been posting information about the flight boarding of dozens of popular celebrities, including "BTS," from 2023 to last year as a sasaeng (stalker fan).
It has been discovered that the higher the price paid for air ticket information, the more specific the schedule becomes.
