The press preview of the movie "The Game" starring actress Yu A In will be held this week. "The Game" is about Korean Go legend Cho Hoon-hyun (played by Lee Byung Hun) and his disciple Lee Chang-ho (played by Yu A In).
The film was originally scheduled to be released on Netflix in 2023, but was postponed due to lead actor Yu A In's drug charges.
The release has been postponed indefinitely. There was a lot of interest in the film as it was expected to feature an acting showdown between Lee Byung Hun and Yu A In. In the end, "The Battle" was changed to a theatrical release instead of Netflix.
In the recently released teaser, Yu A In was only seen from behind. She was not included in the promotional schedule for preview screenings or interviews. This means that we will only be able to see her at the cinema.
At the production briefing held on the 7th, director Kim Hyun Joo said, "We had some unexpected problems before the film was released, but we don't want to hurt anyone."
Yu A In is currently serving a one-year prison sentence, suspended for two years, and a 200,000 yen fine for allegedly violating the Drug Control Law.
He was sentenced to 10,000 won and released. His release coincided with the release of "The Battle." The prosecution then filed an appeal against the second-instance ruling that had given him a suspended sentence.
The "match" will be revealed to the media first, and attention is focused on what will come out about Yu A In.
