The Netflix series “Scandal (tentative title)” is a drama about a daring and dangerous love bet between Mrs. Cho, a woman of exceptional talent, and Cho Won, a playboy, during the Joseon Dynasty, and the woman involved in the bet, Hee Young.
It is based on the 2003 Korean film “Scandal. The film is an adaptation of the novel “Dangerous Liaisons,” which depicts a French high society in turmoil with intrigue and ruin just before the French Revolution, and replaces it with the Joseon period when love and seduction were forbidden. The film was well received by audiences for its masterful depiction of a tale of seduction, betrayal, and revenge among the yangban (the aristocracy of Korea in the old days). Despite the fact that it was not allowed to be seen by youths at the time, it drew 3.52 million viewers at the box office and was much loved for its epic tale that captivated the senses and for its beautiful costumes and artwork.
In the film, Song Ye-jin plays the role of Mrs. Cho, a woman with great talent and charm who plays a game of love against the reality of being born a woman and being unable to do anything. She shows her best strategist side when she proposes a bet to Cho Won, who is in love with her.

Nana plays the role of 'Hee-young,' a woman who has lost her husband and lives a life of chastity, but tries to keep 'Cho Won,' who approaches her, at bay. Hee-Yeon is a complex character who is swayed by her emotions and falls for Cho Won.
