South Korean actor Kim Soohyeon denied the allegations that she was responsible for the death of the late Kim Sae Ron. Kim Soohyeon's press conference was held at the Stanford Hotel in Seoul on the afternoon of the 31st.
Attorney Kim Jeong-bok and Kim Soo-hyeon from the law firm LKB & Partners, who are acting as legal representatives, were present at the scene.
Kim Soohyeon said, "This is probably what everyone is most curious about. I had an affair with the deceased when he was a minor.
"It is not true that the deceased committed suicide because our management office pressured him to pay his debts," he said.
He continued, "Apart from the fact that we were both actors, my relationship with the deceased was just like any other normal relationship.
We met with good feelings and then we broke up. After that, I didn't have much contact with the deceased. Like most lovers in the world, I didn't keep in touch with him.
Regarding the drunk driving accident of the late Kim Sae Ron, "When the deceased had a drunk driving accident, it was not easy to contact him.
On a Tube channel, I heard the CEO of my last office talk about how the deceased was suffering because of me during the drunk driving incident. However, the deceased was dating someone else at the time.
"In that situation, it was really prudent for me to contact the deceased," Kim explained. "The deceased's family claims that I drove him to his death because I was his former boyfriend.
They are forcing me to confess to things I did not do," she said in tears.
