Yumi's Cells: The Movie will be released in Japan on the 11th July (Fri) at Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas, Shinjuku Musashino Theatre, etc. (one week only).
The film is a life-size life story in which you will laugh, cry and be healed by the cute cells that support Yumi in her everyday life!
In the brain of Yumi, an ordinary office worker, countless cells of reason, sensitivity, love, anxiety and hunger work ceaselessly to direct Yumi's thoughts and actions. To them, nothing matters except her pleasure. Will Yumi be able to achieve her ‘dream’ and ‘happiness’ with the help of her cells?
Based on a hugely popular webtoon with 3.5 billion views in South Korea, the 2021 TV series starring Kim Go-eun (Dokkebi: The Last Time I Saw You, Love in the Big City) and popularised by the Korean drama Itaewon Class, which became a social phenomenon, is starring Ahn Bo-hyun, GOT7's Her romance with Park Jin-young also attracted a great deal of attention, and Go-eun won the Best Actress Award at the first Blue Dragon Series Awards, an award ceremony for streaming series in Korea, for her role in the film.
