On the 3rd, the Seoul Central District Court, Civil Settlement Division 41 (Chief Judge: Jeong Pyeong-il) announced that ADOR had filed a special lawsuit against the members of "NewJeans."
The first hearing for the lawsuit to confirm the validity of the affiliation contract was held. The members of "NewJeans" attended the provisional injunction hearing in person on the 7th of last month, but did not attend on this day.
Regarding the breakdown in trust claimed by NewJeans, the court stated, "It is an abstract matter, so we cannot know how each person feels about it."
"While I was an idol, I signed a management contract, but I never received my dues, and I was unable to appear in the public eye. I also handled a case where I wanted to terminate the contract, but
"Compared to the past, this is a unique case," he said. "How should we view trust? Usually, it's easy to see that trust has been broken.
In response to a question from the court on the same day about whether there was a possibility of an agreement or adjustment, ADOR replied, "We hope for an agreement."
However, NewJeans said, "We are not in that situation at present," and "Our mental state and circumstances are not such that we can consider an agreement at present.
" The two sides were at odds over the absence of Min Hee Jin, the former president of ADOR. ADOR's side said, "The defendants are not willing to go with Min Hee Jin.
There is no doubt that Min Hee Jin has contributed greatly to getting New Jeans to what it is today, but he said, "New Jeans would not exist without Min Hee Jin.
"The fact that there is no such thing as 'there is no such thing' makes no sense," he said. He also pointed out the recent success of a Hong Kong concert that was held without Min Hee Jin, sarcastically pointing out the contradiction in this claim.
In response, NewJeans said, "ADOR, whose management has been completely replaced, is essentially a different corporation with different values than the old ADOR."
Prior to this, ADOR's application for a provisional injunction to protect the status of the planning company and to prohibit the conclusion of advertising contracts was granted on the 21st of last month.
has submitted an objection application, and the objection hearing date will be held on the 9th.
