Samsung provides additional 'essential home appliances' to residents affected by wildfires

Samsung Electronics donated 1 billion won worth of needed home appliances on the 6th to residents of the Gyeongbuk region, which is suffering from a massive fire.
Samsung Electronics is providing washing machines, refrigerators, air conditioners, and televisions to help disaster-stricken residents regain stability and normal life as quickly as possible.
Samsung Electronics donated products essential to daily life, such as refrigerators. Victims whose homes were completely or partially burned down and who are unable to return to their homes are expected to spend a considerable amount of time in temporary housing.
The donated home appliances will be delivered promptly to residents through the Korea Red Cross and North Gyeongsang Province.
Samsung Electronics Service has also dispatched a special disaster recovery service team to the victims of the wildfires since the 28th of last month.
First, temporary service centers were set up in evacuation centers for disaster victims in Uiseong, Cheongsong, Yeongyang, and Yeongdeok in North Gyeongsang Province.
In the event of a fire causing damage to an appliance, an engineer will visit the service center, without the need to visit the center in person.
They also started a visiting service to inspect and repair mobile phones. Buses equipped with mobile phone inspection equipment were dispatched to the sites to repair and clean residents' mobile phones.
Whenever a major natural disaster occurs, Samsung makes donations of relief supplies and volunteers to help with damage recovery.
On the 26th of last month, eight affiliated companies including Samsung Electronics went to the Gyeongbuk-do, Gyeongnam-do, and Ulsan areas to help with recovery efforts after the forest fires.
The company donated 3 billion won in donations, 1,000 disaster relief kits containing daily necessities, and 600 living tents to the affected areas.
