MUSINSA stores grow with services for foreigners, including currency exchange and bag storage (Korea)
MUSINSA, an e-commerce fashion mall operator, has opened five malls in Seoul, including Gangnam, Myeongdong, and Seongsu.
The company said that sales to foreigners at its stores in April had increased by more than 160% compared to February. During the same period, foreigners made up 60% of the total sales at the Myeongdong store.
It has been reported that foreign customers now make up more than half of the total sales at 100,000 yen stores. The growth has been particularly notable at the Hannam store.
Starting at the end of March, the Hannam branch introduced a carry bag storage service and unmanned currency exchange machines exclusively for foreign customers, improving convenience for foreign customers. As a result, sales to foreigners at the Hannam branch in April increased 1.2% from February.
In addition to carrying bag storage and unmanned currency exchange machines, Musinsa offers a variety of services for foreign customers, including tax refunds at stores, multilingual announcements, and foreign language pamphlets.
The company provides a wide range of services for foreigners, making shopping more convenient and increasing demand from foreigners.
A Musinsa official said, "Tax references can be made immediately at the store, not at the airport.
"The service that allows users to make purchases online has been particularly well received."
