It has been predicted that Bitcoin could soar 100-fold again in the next 10 to 20 years.
Brad Mills argues that "the combination of growing adoption of institutional power, the scarcity of the halving, and the development of retail-friendly technology will propel Bitcoin to new all-time highs once again."
Mills diagnosed the start of what is known as the "Saylor Cycle," a phenomenon coined by Strategy founder Michael Saylor.
This refers to a long-term bull market of over 10 years led by Saylor's long-term Bitcoin holding strategy, and the amount of Bitcoin held by the strategy, which currently stands at 592,100 BTC, is an indication of this.
Mills said, "Bitcoin was previously considered an 'illegal and unidentified asset,' but is now being transformed into a strategic reserve asset for countries and companies."
According to reports, El Salvador actually holds 6,209 BTC in its treasury, and the United States will introduce a Bitcoin strategic reserve system through President Trump's executive order in March 2025.
The initial reserve was made up of 200,000 BTC of previously seized assets. This reserve will not provide immediate liquidity to the market, but will allow the U.S. government to hold onto its assets for the long term rather than selling them.
It also allows for budget-neutral methods of expanding reserves, such as asset swaps and state-run mining, and will allow business to be managed on a national level in the future.
"Bitcoin's limited supply of 21 million and its halving structure, which cuts the supply in half every four years, are a big step forward," Mills said.
"The price will rise in line with the increase in demand," he said. In addition, Square, a subsidiary of Block, Inc., announced that it will launch Lightning-enabled cryptocurrencies by 2026.
The plan is to fully introduce blockchain-based payments, which is expected to reduce transaction fees by 50% and increase the practical use of Bitcoin for small-value payments.
Mills predicted that Bitcoin could reach $10 million within the next 10 to 20 years, 100 times higher than it is now, and warned that a bear market in the future will likely continue.
He predicted that the decline would be limited to a 50% level, with a bull market allowing for gains of up to 200% per year, which is consistent with a decline in extreme volatility such as past 80-90% crashes.
