Netflix's Squid Game Season 3 (hereinafter referred to as Squid Game 3) rose to the top of the TV ratings in 93 countries worldwide within one day of its release.

According to FlixPatrol, a global OTT ranking website, on the 29th, Squid Game 3 was the most-watched TV program in 93 countries, including the US, UK, France, Australia, and Japan, based on the previous day's ratings.

Squid Game 3 is the new season and final chapter of the globally successful hit series Squid Game. It depicts the final fate of participants who survived the brutal games, including Gihun (Lee Jung-jae), who lost his best friend in the game he re-entered, and the Frontman (Lee Byung-hun), who infiltrated the game while hiding his true identity.

Squid Game 3, released on the 27th, topped the charts in all countries surveyed by FlixPatrol within just one day, once again proving itself as a work that has sparked an explosive response from viewers worldwide.

Squid Game 3 consists of six episodes, all of which have been released. On the same day, according to the U.S. film and drama content review site Rotten Tomatoes, the latest Rotten Tomatoes score for this season is 87% (out of 100%), and the general audience's Popcorn Index is 66%.

For Season 1, which was released in 2021, the Rotten Tomatoes score and Popcorn Score were 95% and 84%, respectively. For Season 2, which was released last year, the Rotten Tomatoes score was 83%, and the Popcorn Score was 63%.

Additionally, at 7:30 p.m. the previous day, Netflix and the Seoul Metropolitan Government co-hosted a Squid Game parade and fan event in front of Sejong-daero and Seoul Square.

The event was attended by director Hwang Dong-hyuk, as well as Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Wi Ha-jun, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-uk, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-gun, Kang Eun-sim, Cho Yuri, Choi Gook-ki, Lee Da-wi, No Jae-won, Jung Suk-ho, Choi Seung-hyun (BIGBANG's T.O.P), Lee So-hwan, Won Ji-an, Kim Bom-rae, Kim Si-woon, Park Hye-soo, Jeong Ho-yong, Kim Ju-ryeong, Anupam Tripathi, Lee Yoo-mi, and other key cast members who brought the work to life participated.
