Na Kyung-wan, People's Power lawmaker: ”The Lee Jae-myung government's Sha-Sha-Sha policy is a form of reverse discrimination against Koreans... Canceling gambling debts of foreigners with hard-earned tax money and restricting lending to Koreans only” = Korea
Na Kyung-won, a member of the People's Power Party, commented on President Lee Jae-myung's "bad bank" policy, "It's a policy of reverse discrimination against our own people."
On the 1st, Rep. Luo posted on his Facebook page, "The bad bank system being promoted by the government will incinerate long-term delinquent loans, and 2,000 foreigners will have 18.2 billion yen in debt.
"They are trying to wipe out debts worth 1,921,530,000 won (approximately 1.921 billion yen) with hard-earned tax money. In the end, they are even putting together a supplementary budget that will burden the people," he said.
Rep. Luo said, "There is also great concern that gambling and entertainment debts may also be subject to cancellation. This is an insult to the people who have been paying off their debts diligently, and is a way of supporting foreigners with the people's hard-earned tax money.
"Is paying back gambling and entertainment debts a part of 'people's livelihood' and a 'recovery of domestic demand'?" he countered. "The lending restrictions only apply to Koreans. Newlywed couples, young people, homeless people, and the like.
Koreans are barred from taking out mortgage loans of over 600 million won, meaning they can no longer even dream of buying their own home. However, foreigners are raising funds in their own countries and buying homes in the Gangnam district of Seoul in a blind spot where regulations are in place.
"They are buying up apartments in the ward with 'cash.' The public is being forced to live in the houses they have bought and pay rent," he said.
He continued, "There is no reason for the people of the Republic of Korea to endure discrimination and reverse discrimination.
"The term 'Shay Shay government' and 'foreigner-preferential government' cannot be used without reason," he added.
We must promote the introduction of regulations against foreigners and thoroughly monitor the situation so that taxpayers' money is not wasted. The government must be on the side of the people, and not allow the people to be alienated and only foreigners to have a say in the matter.
"We cannot tolerate the 'policy of reverse discrimination against the people,'" he stressed.
