China's total goods imports and exports increased 3.5% year-on-year in January-July: Chinese report

According to data released by the General Administration of Customs today (7th), China's total trade in goods from January to July this year reached 25.7 trillion yen (approximately 527.6 trillion yen), up 3.5% from the same period last year.
The growth rate for the first half of the year was 0.6 percentage points higher than that for the first half of the year. By trading partner, the size of trade in goods was 9.4% with ASEAN, 3.9% with the European Union, and 17% with Africa.

Imports increased by 19.3%. Exports of the "New Three" (electric vehicles, solar cells, and lithium batteries) also increased by 14.9%.
Private enterprises continue to be the mainstay of foreign trade.
The import and export volume of private enterprises in China increased by 7.4% year-on-year to 14.68 trillion yen (approximately 301.3 trillion yen), accounting for 57.1% of China's total imports and exports, up 2.1 percentage points from the same period last year.
Currently, there are 570,000 private enterprises with export and import records, accounting for 87.2% of the total. Meanwhile, the value of merchandise trade in July increased 6.7% year-on-year to 3.91 trillion yen (approximately 80.2 trillion yen).
Of this, exports increased by 8.0% to 2.31 trillion former (approximately 47.4 trillion yen), and imports increased by 4.8% to 1.6 trillion former (approximately 32.8 trillion yen).
