Kim Moon-soo blames President Lee Jae-myung, who pardoned Cho Kuk, for ”a reign of terror that divides friends and enemies”

In response to President Lee Jae-myung's pardon of Cho Kuk, the former chairman of the Fatherland Reform Party, Kim Moon-soo, the candidate for the party's chairmanship, said, "It is not about dividing friends and foes.
On the 16th, candidate Kim Moon-soo stated on his social media account, "(President Lee) calls himself a 'human rights lawyer,' but in reality, that is not the case."
Candidate Kim Moon-soo pointed out, "President Lee, ahead of the trial of the Cho Kuk family, who were indicted for fraudulent entrance exams, called it a 'brutal personal attack and witch hunt,' and defended the fact that even violent criminals have at least some human rights."
He also said, "As soon as he became president, he released the couple Jo Kuk and Jeong Kyung-sim, whose prison sentences were finalized, in a floral palanquin, while brutally detaining the former president and his wife, whose sentences had not yet been finalized.
He also said, "The special counsel carried out a brutal human rights violation by excessively handcuffing the former president and putting him in an electronic ankle band, and even using excessive physical force to hospitalize him."
"Protecting him was more important than protecting the dignity of the country. Enforcing the law only for my allies is the true face of the reign of terror that is trying to engulf the Republic of Korea," he said.
Prior to this, President Lee also met with former lawmaker Yoon Mi-hyang, who was found guilty of providing support to comfort women victims and other allegations, and her children.
Former Chairman Cho Kuk, who was sentenced to prison for allegations of fraudulent entrance exams and the cover-up of presidential inspections, was among those granted a special pardon on Liberation Day.
Immediately after his release, former Chairman Cho Kuk posted a series of messages on social media, essentially preparing to resume political activities.
