歌手ユ・スンジュン、ユン・イルサン発言に応酬?…「立ちはだかる誤解が解けるように」
Singer Steve Sueng Jun Yoo responds to Yoon Il Sang's comments? ”I hope the misunderstandings that stand in the way will be resolved.”
Singer Steve Sueng Jun Yoo, who has been banned from entering South Korea for over 20 years due to allegations of evading military service, has responded to the remarks made by composer Yoon Il Sang.
On the 13th, Steve Sueng Jun Yoo posted a long message on his YouTube channel, revealing his second son, JeeAn, for the first time.
He wrote, "Seeing JeeAn always working hard reminds me of my childhood. When I was JeeAn's age, I was very rebellious and wandered around."
"I can't express how grateful I am to see them not just working hard but also living their lives with a certain degree of sincerity, rather than just saying, 'Because of this.'"
He continued, "I have a loving wife who has been by my side since then and continues to be by my side now.
Today, I live with a heart that owes me something to the people I love."
"There are times when my heart breaks because of the truth and distorted sincerity, but the reason I keep going is because I have people I love," he wrote.
I think so, but I am already very happy and grateful," he said, "I hope that all the misunderstandings that are holding us back will be cleared up.
However, as things stand now, I am living a life that is far too much for me.
Thank you and I love you." Steve Sueng Jun Yoo's sentimental message has led netizens to comment on the recent comments that composer Yoon Il Sang made about him.
On the 10th, composer Yoon Il Sang announced on his YouTube channel that Steve Sueng Jun Yoo's debut album was "Steve Sueng Jun Yoo's debut album."
Yoon Il Sang said in the video, "It seems Seung Jun's heart was in the United States.
"I'm American, but I'm also Korean," he said, "Korea is a bit business-oriented, so I'm going back home.
"Isn't it America? So they made a rather unfortunate and unacceptable decision," he said, speculating. "You made a promise to the public.
If you make big claims, you have to keep them, and if you can't, make a genuine apology that matches them.
"In a sense, it must have felt like a betrayal of the nation," he said sarcastically.
Meanwhile, Steve Sueng Jun Yoo left in 2002 ahead of his military enlistment for an overseas performance, but suddenly obtained US citizenship, sparking suspicions of evading military service.
The Military Manpower Administration banned Steve Sueng Jun Yoo from entering South Korea that same year, preventing him from entering the country for over 20 years.
Steve Sueng Jun Yoo applied for an overseas Korean visa in 2015 but was denied.
He filed a lawsuit to have the suspension overturned, and after a legal battle that went all the way to the Supreme Court, he won. However, the LA Consulate General again refused to issue him a visa, and he began another legal battle.
Although he ultimately won the lawsuit, the LA Consulate General again refused to issue Steve Sueng Jun Yoo a visa. Steve Sueng Jun Yoo filed a third lawsuit against the LA Consulate General and the Minister of Justice.
