On the occasion of the 579th Hangul Day, actor Kim Nam-gil and Professor Seo Kyung-duk of Sungshin Women's University hit it off and decided to hold a Hangul Party in Monterrey, Mexico.
The company has donated educational materials to the Korean School in New York, the United States, the Gwangnamsadang Korean Cultural School in Vancouver, Canada, and the Korean School in Seoul.
This is their fourth donation, following the Hangul Learning Center in Budapest, England. Their Hangul Globalization Campaign is aimed at promoting Hangul education around the world.
The donations will be made to weekend schools that are working hard to educate foreigners, as well as foreigners who run study groups to learn Korean.
Professor Seo said, "Recently, the Korean School in Monterrey, Mexico, has received smart TVs, laptops, stationery, and other items.
"As K-POP and Korean TV series spread all over the world, more and more foreigners and overseas Koreans are trying to learn Hangeul and Korean, and we hope to contribute to their education," he said.
"But I wanted to be of some help," he added. Actor Kim Nam Gil said, "We will continue to research organizations around the world that are working to promote Hangeul education and provide steady support."
Meanwhile, they are also appearing together in a video for the 2025 Hangeul Hanmadang, a cultural festival that will be attended by people from around the world, to promote the excellence of Hangeul and to spread awareness of the event.
