SEVENTEEN's S.COUPS x MINGYU's first mini album certified gold in Japan

The first album by S.COUPS x MINGYU, a unit from SEVENTEEN, has sold over 100,000 copies in Japan and been certified gold.
The new album "HYPE VIBES" by the unit S.COUPS x MINGYU of "SEVENTEEN" has been announced by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) as of September.
The album sold over 100,000 copies and was certified as a "Gold" disc. The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIA) awards gold (100,000 copies), platinum (250,000 copies), and other awards based on the cumulative number of albums shipped each month.
Gold disc certification is awarded for albums that are classified as double platinum (500,000 copies) or higher. Seventeen has a total of 18 gold albums, including singles.
Following JEONGHAN x WONWOO's first single "THIS MAN," S.COUPS x MINGYU's "HYPE
"VIBES" also received a gold certification, demonstrating the overwhelming power of the album as a unit.
"VIBES" recorded shipments of over 100,000 copies in just one day after its release in Japan on the 30th of last month.
This album has been ranked in the "Daily Album Ranking" of Japan's "Oricon," as well as the "Weekly Album Ranking," "Weekly Combined Album Ranking," and "Billboard
S.COUPS×MINGYU won first place in the "Top Album Sales" of "HYPE Japan".
VIBES" also set a new record for a K-POP unit.
It sold 887,000 copies from the beginning of the first week of release (April 1 to October 5), setting a new record for the highest initial sales (first week after release) for a K-pop unit album.
