On the 16th, Park Jae-beom began by stating on his SNS: "The breast cancer campaign event concluded, and the party and performance were intended for those present at the venue who gathered with a wonderful purpose and spirit, despite the busy schedule. I understood this and proceeded as I would with a regular performance."
He continued, "If any cancer patients felt uncomfortable watching my performance, I sincerely apologise. I wish you all good health. I performed for free, just as I did at the Busan event. I ask that you do not misuse that wonderful sentiment."
He further clarified, "My request not to misuse this is directed at those who seek only to create controversy from actions undertaken with the best of intentions. Please do not misunderstand."
This follows the 'Love Your W 2025' breast cancer awareness campaign event hosted by 'W KOREA' on the 15th. Park Jae-beom participated in the event that day and performed.
Park Jae-beom performed his hit song ‘MOMMAE’ that day. Footage of the stage was posted on the W KOREA official channel, with W KOREA stating: "The editor's worries about whether it would be alright for him to stand on stage with his injured foot proved unfounded. Please enjoy Park Jae-beom's performance, which shattered the entire space the moment it began."
However, a controversy erupted over Park Jae-beom's stage. Critics pointed out that ‘MOMMAE’, which he performed, contains lyrics celebrating the female body, raising questions about its appropriateness for a performance at an event venue for a breast cancer awareness campaign.
W KOREA appeared conscious of the controversy, removing the footage of the stage in question. Park Jae-beom also apologised for the sharp criticism, explaining it was "a performance delivered with wonderful feelings".
