Small eater Joo Woo-jae makes an unusual order on ”Ask the refrigerator”

Four chefs engage in a fierce battle over model-actor Joo Woo-jae's refrigerator.

In the 9th broadcast of JTBC's 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator', an extreme 15-minute cooking battle unfolds over Joo Woo-jae's refrigerator, which serves to discipline the chefs.

For this episode, Joo Woo-jae selects an unconventional theme for his desired dishes. The first challenge is a "half-portion dish" battle for "small-eater" Joo Woo-jae. The programme's representative small-eater, Song Jong-won, faces off against big-eater Jung Ho-yeon.

As cooking begins, both chefs frantically search for even the smallest ingredients. Jung Ho-yeon attempts to extract bacon from an egg bun, but it proves unexpectedly tiny, briefly causing a "mental breakdown". He utilised every scrap, even the soup with ramen toppings, earning a standing ovation and gratitude from Joo Woo-jae.

Son Jung-won, attempting the world's first 'half-portion three-course meal' centred on red bean paste, sweated bullets scraping out the filling from rice cakes. Mid-challenge, he dashed to the fridge, hastily retrieved ingredients, and displayed his eccentricity by once again unearthing an 'extremely small ingredient' to add to his dish.

In the second battle, Park Eun-young and Kwon Sung-joon faced off under the unprecedented theme of "no refrigerator requests" – a first for the programme. Under the harsh condition of using only room-temperature ingredients, Kwon Sung-joon shocked everyone by declaring, "Not only no room-temperature ingredients, but no knives or scissors either."

Park Eun-young and Kwon Sung-joon ignited their sibling rivalry before the battle even began, energising the atmosphere. Park Eun-young launched a pre-emptive strike, stating, "Every time we face off, Sung-joon gets in the way at the front," adding, "This time, I'll properly shut him down." Kwon Sung-joon countered, "Today, I plan to cause a ruckus beside you, not in front," declaring he would create a "black history" moment that would haunt her like a trauma, shaking her mental fortitude.
