Season 2'' costume director Cho Sang-kyung's behind-the-scenes production story has attracted attention.
Costume director Cho Sang-kyung said, ``For 1 year and 4 months, we worked on design, sample production, testing, and fitting.
I continued to work on it throughout the filming period." He also talked about the materials and experiments that were used only in ``Arthdal Chronicles 2''.
``In South Korea, if armor is needed for filming, it is mostly done in China and in other countries.
The work will be made in Korea, but I thought, ``In order to express the Korean style, we must make it with our own hands,'' so I searched for people around me who could do the work, and I worked on it for a year, starting with a sample.
Made armor. At first, I used real bones to make them, but they smelled bad and would crumble easily.I ended up looking for a way to make them look like bones, and I made them out of wood and Korean paper.
Saya's weapon was made by hand, and Tanya's costume was made with various silk threads and waving, and each accessory was made by hand.
"It was a task where I had to give up a lot and felt like I was reaching my limits," he recalled.
He continued, ``We calculated the weight of the costumes for the actors' performance and safety.
There were many parts that had to be taken care of, such as processing to avoid allergies, but the story would only be accepted if it conveyed the authenticity of the fantasy genre and the emotion of ancient times.
Everyone thought it was possible and had fun doing it.'' Meanwhile, tvN Saturday and Sunday TV Series “Arthdal Chronicles”
Episode 7 and EP 8 of "Season 2" will be broadcast consecutively on the 8th this week.
