On the afternoon of the 15th, at the press conference for the movie "The Outlaws 4" held at Megabox COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Heo Mi
Director Yeong Haeng, along with actors Ma Dong Seok, Kim Moo Yul, Park Ji Hwan, and Lee Dong Hwi, attended the event and discussed the project.
"The Outlaws 4" is about a monster detective, Ma Dong Seok, who is involved in a large-scale online illegal gambling ring.
Jang Yi, who has returned once again, faces off against Baek Chang-gi (played by Kim Moo Yul), a special forces mercenary who runs the company, and IT genius CEO Jang Dong-cheol (played by Lee Dong Hwi).
The film depicts a crime sweep operation carried out by the gang leader Soo (played by Park Ji Hwan) and the regional investigation team and cyber team. It has already sold over 100,000 tickets in advance 10 days before its release, and is currently ranked first in the overall advance sales rate.
In the second half of the film, Professor Kwon Il-young, well known as a first-generation police profiler, makes a surprise appearance in an unexpected role, bringing joy and laughter to the viewers.
Ma Dong Seok said, "I've had a connection with the professor for a long time. When I was preparing for the 'Crime City' series, I met many detectives and collected information.
"I asked the professor a lot of things. He checked many details of the script and shared other sources with me, and we talked a lot," he said, revealing their connection.
"I thought it would be great if Professor Kwon Il-young could make a special appearance, so I proposed that he make an appearance. At first, he said, 'I won't do it,' and ran away. After some persuasion, he accepted.
"I think it was a perfect role for me because they were so kind to me. There were some interesting scenes, so I think it was a meaningful shoot," he added. "The Outlaws 4" will be released on April 24th.
