The emergency response committee of the Catholic University Medical School Professors Council, which includes professors from Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, held a meeting on the 25th and decided to postpone the indefinite closure for the time being.
The Catholic Medical University Professor Emergency Response Committee conducted a survey from the 21st to the afternoon of the 24th, and found that many people agreed with the need for a recess to protest against government policies.
However, there were many opinions that the system should be changed. 70% of the professors who responded said that rather than closing the clinic, they should reduce medical care to a minimum and reduce the inconvenience and anxiety of patients.
However, they left open the possibility of indefinite closures in the future. 82% of respondents said they would participate in strong closures if a major resistance were to come to fruition in the future.
The emergency response committee said, "Based on the survey results and after intense discussion, we decided to postpone the start of the indefinite closure," and added, "However, Catholic University Hospital has been protesting the erroneous government policy in various ways.
"We will continue to resist," he stressed.
