Two men were arrested by the police for breaking into the home of a female internet broadcaster, assaulting and threatening her, and stealing her money and valuables. The men demanded a private meeting in exchange for helping the woman broadcast.
On the 6th, the Gwanak Police Station in Seoul reported that they broke into the home of an internet broadcasting BJ in his 30s at around 3 a.m. on the 3rd of this month.
Two men in their 30s were arrested on suspicion of special robbery for strangling and threatening a woman and stealing 10 million won (approximately 1.05 million yen).
According to a report from SBS yesterday, the two men met privately in exchange for sponsoring the broadcast.
When they refused, they started threatening me. The female BJ said, "I was stalked for over a year. I repeatedly asked them not to help me with my broadcasts, but they kept coming."
Police investigation revealed that the two men had offered huge sums of money to A and then demanded to meet him privately, but when he refused, they committed the crime.
He was quoted as saying that he had rescued the woman and had gone to her place to get it back. CCTV footage released to the media showed a man wearing a black mask and hat in the middle of the night.
The video showed police officers searching the area after the two men emerged from an alley in a residential area. A police official said, "We have applied for an arrest warrant for the two men on suspicion of special robbery."
